Jessica says they cost $0.79 each and are “quite tasty as well.”
It has Robert Pattinson’s face and has cream inside. I’m sold.

Rounding out the media outlets that visited the set of New Moon in Vancouver is Rotten Tomatoes. They have a set report where they go into detail on the Volturi interior shots. This description of Jane sounds amazing–(spoilers!)–
Focus fell particularly on Fanning, dressed in a soft, vintage-style white
dress, a dark velvet cape, and Mary Janes. Her blonde hair swept into a bun,
with pale skin and scarlet lips and dark eye makeup, she had the look of a
textbook Little Red Riding Hood — albeit one with blood-red eyes and a steely
eeriness about her.“She’s immune to all of us,” Michael Sheen as Aro mused,
directing his warrior to turn her pain-inducing powers on Bella. “Shall we,
Jane?” With nary a peep, Fanning’s eyes lit up. She turned her head towards
Bella/Kristen Stewart, and gave a slight, cruel smile. Well, the hint of a
smile, really. The tension was palpable; in that miniscule movement I was sold
on Fanning — at 15 years of age, one of New Moon’s seasoned veterans — and her
ability to convey unadulterated malice. On film, you’ll see her bring poor
Robert Pattinson to his knees, and you might even enjoy it.

Fortunately, I’m not at the stage where I have to turn anybody down yet, because everything is still kind of up in the air, but I am surprised at some of the bands that have said they’re interested. It’s kind of great. The criterion will still always be what’s right for the movie at that given moment, but Thom Yorke is interested. We might, if we’re very lucky, get Kings of Leon to do something… It’s exciting to be able to have access to this kind of talent[Thanks to NMM]

The New Moon madness continues as the veil of non-disclosure was lifted today, with another media outlet sharing their set report from Vancouver.
Lizerne Guiting has a report for Fandango, and she notes–
The Voluturi! Oh the Volturi! They’re straight from the pages of Stephenie Meyer’s book! The freaky red eyes, pale skin, the chic Italian clothes, a family crest pendant – everything down to the smallest detail — suits their coven perfectly. They make a deliciously deadly vampire mafia. We got to watch Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart film a bunch of scenes near the film’s ending, and also interviewed a LOT of the cast and crew: Taylor Lautner, Michael Sheen, and Rachelle Lefevre to name a few.
Read the report over at Fandango.
UPDATE: There’s another report from MSN that covers similar territory from a fan’s perspective.

Michael Sheen, who will play Aro in New Moon, reveals some new details from when he was on the set in Vancouver–
Check out the rest at HitFix.“The first day of filming we did the 18th century stuff and then one of the modern scenes,” Sheen says. “It was a lot to deal with; the wig, and contact lenses all day and the make-up, but it was fantastic. These sets are amazing. And the look of everyone is so strong so it was great to just kind of get right into it straight away. “
Other actors purposely don’t read the original source material for their big screen creations because they don’t want to veer from the direction the screenwriter and director have laid out. I asked Sheen where he stood on the issue.
“Oh no, if I’m doing something that’s based on a book, then I’ll definitely read the book,” Sheen says. “I look for anything that will give a little clue or something, a little help, a little hint… just things like that. Like one word that Stephenie uses in the book will kind of tee off my imagination.”

Q: Were you doing any stunts today? I’ve been doing a lot recently, yeah. The cool thing is, they’ve pretty much let me do most of my stunts. I got to do all the dirt bike riding, I got to do this really cool sequence that I’m actually not going to tell you about, because I want you to wait to see it. But yeah, the stunts have definitely been my favorite part so far.For those wondering about how much we’ll see of Taylor shirtless in New Moon–
Q: What percentage of time would you say you spend shirtless? I’d say the same as the books. I’m not going to give you a specific percent, but the great things about this series, and the movies , is we stay true to the books. So if you read the books, you know what the movie’s going to look like.

New Moon producer Wyck Godfrey has an excellent new interview with HitFlix where he details some of the finer points of making the Twilight Saga happen, including the logic behind casting in the film–
Q: Some franchises like the ‘Star Trek’ movies, for example, are notorious for inserting celebrity cameos. Now that ‘Twilight’ is so big and now that you have so many Hollywood fans, do you think that will happen in any of the future movies?
Well you were on-set earlier right? You noticed Julia Roberts? (Laughs.) She’s just an extra standing out there. I always liked to feel like people want to immerse themselves in a world and not be distracted by gimmick casting. I kind of in general like…we’ve always just wanted to put the best actors in the role, not the biggest reality TV stars or whatever. We want to put great actors in the roles and let them become the character that people have read in these books and fallen in love with. And I sometimes think like if you try to like stunt-cast things, people notice and for that split second in the movie it pulls them out of the movie and they whisper to their friend ‘Oh, that’s so-and-so’ to me you don’t immerse yourself in the world of the movie. So, I don’t know. We’re not ever going to consciously try to put extra surprising stars in the movie.
Q: Well to that point, when Dakota Fanning was cast it seemed a little surprising because she was such a big name especially at her age. So was there any trepidation that she might be almost too distracting because she is so well known in such a smaller role?
Well, the finding is that for a lot of websites you’d see like who’s your favorite Jane and she’d almost be at the top of the list. So, as long as you feel like it’s the right casting, it doesn’t matter how big or small a person’s name is. I mean, I think if Jane were written as a 35-year-old transvestite you’d be like that’s kind of weird they’re putting Dakota Fanning in it, but it really felt like the right call. We’re just glad that she was…and again, she was a fan of it. She was interested and that made it easy to get someone of her stature.
Later in the interview, Godfrey gives 100% confirmation from the horse’s mouth that Breaking Dawn will not be rated R. He also confirms that Breaking Dawn is not even official yet.

There’s an amazing new interview with New Moon director Chris Weitz, and he reveals tons of new information that fans have been dying to get their hands on. Among them?–
- Even Weitz was surprised with how quickly Phil Tippet’s company turned around the Jacob wolf shot at the end of the first teaser trailer. The shot has gone through numerous iterations and is much more photorealistic than that version.
- He’ll be submitting a director’s cut of the film to Summit within the next two weeks.
- Thom Yorke and Kings of Leon are interested in contributing to the film’s soundtrack.
- The movie within a movie, “Facepunch,” will only be heard — not seen.
- His vision of the Volturi is very much like the book and unlike a number of fan inspirations that have hit the web. He also sees them as having gone slightly insane after living for 2,000 years.
- He’s met with David Slade and expects the filmmaker’s vision for “Eclipse” to be different than what he’s doing with “New Moon,” but with the same actors and visual effects team.
- He’s flattered that fans want him to direct “Breaking Dawn” without seeing “New Moon,” but thinks the fans will want Slade to do it by the time “Eclipse” comes out.
- Weitz needs to turn the film in by Oct. 30 to strike prints or if not, they are in “big trouble” to make the release date.
There is boatloads more, so check out the whole interview over at Hitflix to read all the additional information!
Rotten Tomatoes also shares some info from Chris Weitz, where he reveals the proposal scene has not been cut–
“It hasn’t been cut out, I can tell you that much,” Weitz carefully shared. He paused to compose his answer, making sure not to reveal too much. “It’s not going to hit them in exactly the way that they think it’s going to, but I will say that — how can I put it? –it’s going to be quite special. I kind of saved all of my gusto for that moment. I don’t think it will disappoint.

That's right, folks! Xavier Samuel has been cast as Riley in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Here's an article that confirms it. And GUESS WHAT! He's AUSTRALIAN! YAYY! You go dude!
So this is what the face of an impressionable lad turned corrupted bloodsucker looks like.It looks fang-licking good if you ask us!
Summit Entertainment has tapped Australian newcomer Xavier Samuel to play Riley in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the third film in the burgeoning franchise based on Stephenie Meyer's megaselling novels, according to the Hollywood Reporter's Risky Business blog.
As fans of the series know, Riley starts off as a plain, old human college student, only to fall under the spell of the increasingly vengeful Victoria and, as a newborn vampire, join her crusade against Bella.
Among the names bandied about for the Riley role were Tom "Draco Malfoy" Felton and Channing Tatum, whom Meyer once said would play the part "beautifully."
Well, we think Samuel's doing beautifully so far...
Eclipse is expected to start shooting sometime next month in Vancouver in time for its June 30, 2010 release, while Twilight fans are expected to go into overdrive any day now as they await the Nov. 20 arrival of New Moon.
(Then theres this article from Just Jared.)
Australian baby face Xavier Samuel has been cast in Eclipse, the third flick in the Twilight franchise.
“I don’t have any facial hair, so it will be a while before I play the gruff leading man,” Xavier has said. “Maybe one day I’ll get to play my actual age. For now my baby face has condemned me to play the teenager.”
According to THR, Xavier, 25, will play newborn vampire Riley, a good-looking college student who joins the plot of villain Victoria to murder protagonist Bella (Kristen Stewart). Riley is corrupted by Victoria, for whom he has an inexplicable weakness.
Eclipse stars shooting next month in Vancouver.
WHAT DO YOU THINK of Twilight’s latest star — HOT or NOT?
