David Slade, the confirmed director of the third installment of the 'Twilight Saga', Eclipse, has been interviewed about this new movie. Guess what he said? He doesn't even LIKE Twilight!
Here's the article from www.slashfilm.com
"When Peter compiled his epic and useful list of directors, actors and screenwriters plugged into Twitter, one of those included was Hard Candyman David Slade. Today, however, it seems like Slade’s Twitter account has been deleted, which is a crying shame. Besides the loss of an interesting tweeter, another of the reasons this is unfortunate is that the deletion covers Slade’s tracks a little and hides a rather amusing little attack he launched on the Twilight franchise
.
That being the very same Twilight franchise Slade has subsequently signed up to, and for which he will be directing the third installment, Eclipse. Oops.
So, the original Tweet might be gone but after the break we have audio of Slade ripping into Twilight and, if nothing else, its quite funny stuff… and I can’t help wondering what Summit Entertainment, the Twilight cast and Stephenie Meyer think about it?
This clip comes from the BDK movie show on WJFK in Washington DC. The show goes out every Friday night from 7p to 10pm EST and has featured me as a guest now a couple of times, and I’ll be back this Friday the 8th May too. Slade came up in conversation during last night’s show and the show’s host, Kevin McCarthy promised to dig up this gem from their archives. With Kevin’s blessing we present the clip here for you now:"
And for those of you who can’t listen at the moment, here’s my best transcript:
"…and so yesterday we were trying to find a movie to see and we’d seen all the good ones, you know, and there was nothing really coming out this weekend that we really fancied at all and having directed a vampire film and really gone for something completely different to the kind of romantic, you know, repressed hormone teen vampire movie we really weren’t interested in seeing Twilight but a lot of people said lets go so I wrote -
“Twilight drunk? No, not even drunk. Twilight on acid? No, not even on acid? Twilight at gun point? Just shoot me.”
[That’s like] a poem in a way [...] at this point excites me even though people think I’m a really violent and unpleasant person I actually do have this romantic violent side to me. Maybe I should have seen Twilight."
You can read the full article here and listen to Slade say it himself on the audio player they provide. Hard evidence!
Don't you think he's not going to even bother making this a good movie? Nice going, Summit!
Thoughts?
What kind of Director is this?!

Stephenie Meyer's dream soundtrack for New Moon
Stephenie Meyer actually released her dream soundtrack. If she had her pick, the soundtrack would look like this:
1. "Do You Realize?" by the Flaming Lips
2. "Paper Cut" by Linkin Park
3. "Hyper Music" - Muse
4. "Apocalypse Please" - Muse
5. "Time Stands Still" - The All-American Rejects
6. "Empty Room" - Marjorie Fair
7. "Unwell" - Matchbox Twenty
8. "Pain" - Jimmy Eat World
9. "Ride" - The Vines
10. "Fix You" - Coldplay
11. "Blueside" - Rooney
12. "Over My Head (Cable Car)" - The Fray
13. "Going Under" - Evanescence
14. "Tautou" - Brand New
15. "Be My Escape" - Relient K
16. "Never Let You Down" - Verve Pipe
17. "Sing For Absolution" - Muse
18. "Ya Mamma" - Fatboy Slim
19. "D.O.A." - Foo Fighters
20. "Stare" - Marjorie Fair
21. "Memory" - Sugarcult
22. "The Truth About Heaven" - Armor For Sleep
23. "The Scientist" - Coldplay
24. "Sound of Pulling Heaven Down" - Blue October
Stephenie's soundtrack, although awesome, isn't current enough for a solid New Moon soundtrack. The Twilight soundtrack was hipster, indie and awesome. New Moon has a lot to live up to.

New Moon: American Idol Contestant wants to be on Soundtrack
Justin Guarini, who was on American Idol Season 1 wants a bite of the 'New Moon' soundtrack. He's released a special song just for 'New Moon' onto Youtube, hoping to gain Twilight fans' attention and support.
Here's an article from www.buddytv.com
"Shaye Smith, Tammy Hyler and Guarini himself penned the song, entitled "I Can't Live." The main chorus sings out "I can't live if I can't touch you with my fingertips." He obviously had Bella and Edward in mind when writing the lyrics. "I Can't Live" could be seen from either Bella (Kristen Stewart) or Edward's (Robert Pattinson) point of view, depending on how well New Moon depicts Edward's plight. But is the song New Moon worthy?
Director Chris Weitz knows what a good soundtrack can do for a movie. I, personally, own the American Pie and American Wedding soundtracks (he missed the boat on the American Pie 2 soundtrack if you ask me). With the past (and current) success of the Twilight soundtrack, one wrong move can lose millions of dollars.
So is Justin Guarini worth it? He makes no mention of being a Twilight fan, but I'm guessing he's actually read the books, which is a step in the right direction. Update: "Justin is a huge Twilight fan and has indeed read all the books."
Check out the song below:

New Moon: Motorcycle Video with Bella
Here's a video on the motorcycle scene for 'New Moon'. Thanks to www.bellaandedward.com
"Vancity Allie has done it again! Amazing behind the scenes, on the set stuff! She was there to catch pictures and video of a scene done quite a bit different than in the book. After leaving the theater with Jessica, Bella actually gets on the motorcycle of one of the guys they see at the bar. Apparently, Rob was there earlier and filmed his "Edward hallucination" portion. Allie goes into a bit of detail as to how that was done. She also describes everything she saw while there. LOL Here is the video she shot. At the end, you can hear Kristen saying the lines "Stop! Stop!""
